Last Thursday Peggy shared with us her family's quilts! Here is an bedspread, it's called candlewicking and it is from between 1819 and 1823!!!


Then another day, Janet shared with us her friend's quilt
















And the other day I quilted that one just in time!

    The candlewicking is lovely. I keep meaning to have a go at that technique, though with more modern thread rather than actual candle wicks!
