I wanted to share with you my latest reading. I just finished Glazed Murder from Jessica Beck. That was a great fun mystery!!!!!And she has written 2 others! Fatally Frosted and Sinister Sprinkles, the Donut Shop Mysteries!!! I can't wait to start reading them!
So yesterday I had to buy some donuts... They were so good! I also need to buy a fryer now to try out her recipes! I hope you will enjoy them too!

Just wanted to show you my friend's so cute new puppy! And today's baking, baked donuts the kids really liked!
Until next time

Here a picture of 2 quilts I basted with a grid  4"x4", the first one has been done with batiks, the other is the Shabby one...Then I quilted the borders on the New Year Beauty, the center had been hand quilted previously and very well basted... I did feathers, which I love but it is hard to see them because black thread on black fabric does not show much but it was gorgeous! I also did Barbara B. 2nd block!  I am preparing the next one!

Today I received a very interesting book, it is amazing to see how different a quilt can be from the other just becaus e of the setting of the blocks! I could not resist to take a picture of my little helper, she loves to be around me... I also took a picture of the framed block I finally finished hand quilting!
Until next time, Val

Another thing I am going to do is to follow Barbara Brackman blocks. She just started a new blog with very interesting stuff, check it out: http://civilwarquilts.blogspot.com/
I have one week to make the block, should be doable???!!!

Just an update from the last days, time went so fast, and school started again this morning so we had to get up early! Not that easy... I did some blocks for swaps and quilted a few more quilts.
My resolution for this year is to work on my Baby Jane... I hope to get more rows done!
Have a great week!
Happy New Year to all! I hope you had a wonderful start of 2011!!!
