Today, the movers came! It is hard... I don't like to think about that...

I have been able to sew 40 siggies, here is one, do you like it? I need 60 more!

And here is a picture of my friend's doll and mine in progress... Aren't they cute?

Well, we are already Sunday evening! Tomorrow the movers will start packing everything...
My machine is in a box and the table is down, very sad... I have been able to quilt the last quilt last night so I was happy for that... It now only needs binding. I can't find the cord for my camera, it might be already packed so a picture will come later...

On a positive note, I had a great time with my last workshop with Gail Wilson! Gail is a really nice person, very generous! It was given at Quilt Plus, Indianapolis, IN which is a really nice store. I found a nice table runner project with wool applique... Very nice!

Also another good news, Jennifer Chiaverini's book Sylvia Bridal Sampler is now out and there is a picture of my quilt in it! Also pictured is Caroline's quilt that I quilted! That has been an exciting adventure! I am proud of being part of it! Thanks to Jennifer!

Tonight I am taking a break and will cut my siggies... Maybe I will have time to sew them??? I am tired though...

It is a strange feeling to have all our belongings packed into boxes...

It is so hard to say good bye to my friends, it breaks my heart...

The week end is already over! But I did finished a quilt top and the 2nd Bunny Hill BOM finally! What do you think of that top, nice?? I love it and it is a cheater cloth! It is a copy of an antique quilt though. And it also has the quilting design but I think I will quilt it by machine... later... Saturday,
I took a workshop to learn how to make a jacket pattern to fit your own body, which is not that easy! But I had fun as I was with good friends!

What a nice surprise I had this morning! The 2 teachers I was helping for Project Linus at my daughters's school came over to pick up the quilts I had finished quilting and they brought me a quilt! Yes, for me! A gift! A wonderful gift! I will always treasure it! They made my day!
Thank you so much Martha and Sue!

I don't get a lot of sewing done but I had my machine serviced which is good and I now have a huge box to put her in!
I manage to sew my 5th Lori Smith block.
Yesterday, my BFF called and we went watching Confessions of a shopaholic, funny!
I finished sewing 429 HS triangles for a swap at a LQS! Edyta Sitar is coming in June and will show 20+ quilts made just with those HS triangles! So at the store, they are organizing a huge swap in repro fabrics, I couldn't resist... I made something like 700 of these! And the very very nice ladies from that store gifted me yesterday with a finishing kit they are preparing for the Mountain top you can see on Edyta's website here: www.laundrybasketquilts.com in the pattern section... I was speachless!
It will be a really special quilt! I hope to get some HS from Edyta herself as she is making some too!
Have a great day!

Well, I survived! Everything went well, they had fun and were happy! So I was happy too!
Today, I made some more 4-patches and took a picture, aren't they cute?
I also made some signature blocks for our Jo club... They are nice too! On the picture, you can see that some of the ladies are upside down, so to avoid this I made some more but adding the triangles the other sides so none will be upside down... It will be better that way!
I need to make more... better go sewing!
It has been a gorgeous day today! Sunny and warm! I am ready for Spring!

Today I plan on doing some applique, I prepared it yesterday night so it is ready to be sewn!

It is a wonderful day outside and even the temperatures are nice! 48F!!!

This last week went so fast! I had such a great time! The classes with Karen Mc Tavish were very interesting! I am now waiting for a poly batting to start my trapunto process! Here she is (on the left) showing us an example of trapunto...
Then the workshop with Jo was fantastic! And the guild has very friendly members! On the top right, not my best pose but... I had fun and below is what we did... Then we went to an amazing tiny tiny quilt store where I found treasures!
On Saturday, I went to 2 quilt shows, saw some wondeful quilts and a lot of friends! I had a great time! Today, I quilted a baby quilt for Project Linus and made some boxes. It rained all day long! Very sad! Now it is windy... And a new week is coming...
