Very nice day yesterday with an Australian quilting friend Bev and her daughter Claire and Will ! The weather wasn't the best but we had fun! Sharing quilting ideas is so great! Some of Will's hand sewing projects, aren't they cute? I just love the rickrack red handles!

  1. Love the rick rack handles too. I want to open that book, "Quilts of Provence."

My DD has a friend from Aix (spelling?) of Provence. She spent 2 weeks with her family as a French exchange student when they were in 8th grade. Then she came to the US, etc. Still remain penpals today, though both are in their 30's, married, with children, now.

  2. Oh, I do like those red rick rack handles. Such a good idea. I think some of the 30's quilts have rick rack handles.

  5. Your friend has done some very lovely work. I really like the rickrack handles too. Nantje from the SBS list sent me a few basket blocks like those and the templates to make them. I think I may opt for the rickrack handles instead of the applique ones.
And the Flower Garden quilt is wonderful. The hexagons look very small.
