Not quilting related post but...

I hope you've been watching the Olympic Games! As I was watching the closing ceremony I wondered where will it be next and to my surprise I saw they are going to take place in Paris, France in 2024!!! 

Then I could not remember why the announcements were in French, then English then Japanese so I looked it up and found:

..., the founder of the IOC and “father” of the modern Olympics was a Frenchman, Baron Pierre de Coubertin. He saw the Games as an embodiment of noble ideals with a role in promoting peace and cross-cultural understanding. 

In addition, he believed the competition itself, the struggle to overcome opponents, was more important than winning.

So true!

I'm so glad the Games happened! Amazing athletes from all over the world!

The other day, I went with a friend to visit the Quilt Museum in Cedarburg, WI. Beautiful exhibit! Sorry I am still not very good at organizing the pictures, I can't figure it out...

The weather is now nicer. We have had a lot of rain and scary storms but now everything is back to normal beautiful summer!

We have been busy quilting and making new samples!

I quilted a beautiful Omigosh quilt! Love this one!!

 So it's cold again, Spring is on it's way though but...And my son turned 28!! I feel old!!!

Here is a new sample we made as a baby girl sample...

 And because I love hand piecing, I had some templates made for this one... I love it! It's so easy and relaxing to hand piece...

 Well we got some snow yesterday, hopefully the last one for this year!

We have a new cute sample and we cut kits for it of course, soon on the website...
