Happy Spring!

If you need a quilt for a baby girl, we have just the thing for you! The new sample for the shop is a baby quilt called Girl Power. It's super cute and bright!

If you love the colors and fabrics, we have good news! It's a kit! This link will take you to the kit, and this one will take you to the pattern on The Quilt Merchant's website, and you can order it right from your cozy chair!

On Saturday, we had the Timeworn Treasures club. This is a club where we reproduce quilts from the past. It meets one Saturday a month for six months. This month we looked at a wooden press that was used to print a design on fabric during the time of the quilt we were reproducing.

Isn't that cool? It was so fun to be around a piece of history like this! It's also fun to think of how technology has changed since then.

We also had some show and tell on Saturday. Here are the pictures! I hope you find something to inspire you!

Happy National Quilting Day! To celebrate the occasion, we have some pictures from the applique group that meets here. Each member was to show the first quilt they made and the one they are currently working on. Enjoy!

And as an extra treat, a finished 365 quilt.

I hope that you find something to inspire you to spend some time quilting on National Quilting Day!

A friend had a very cute pincushion, very practical! And it is a free pattern so I made one!

If you want to make one, search for Skinny Pincushion, there is a PDF file for it!

It fits right by my machine, I love it! And I am going to make another one!

And I have been working on some English Paper Piecing... I will applique them on a background so I decided to starch them so then I can I remove the paper, and then I iron them again and they are ready for applique!

So we went to a Quilt Study meeting, what a great experience!
We learned that there is going to be a quilt show in Bensenville at Fisher farm March 25 and 26.
The subject of the meeting was Illinois Quilts, so here are Carol's quilt that her grand mother made.

Then some blocks and more quilts!

Honeybee is the name of this pattern

 Amazing quilting!
